Where did you grow up and what did you like about your home town?

I grew up in Havana, FL and I liked that it was a small, quiet town. I was raised by my grandma, I care deeply for her. It was a nice town to grow up in.

Do you have any siblings or children? Tell us a little about them.

My dad has 21 kids. I still have contact with some of them. I have 7 kids, 4 boys and 3 girls. All my children are grown and they all live in areas throughout the country. I wish we were all closer in proximity.

What is your favorite movie and why?

My favorite movie is Madea: Big Happy Family. It is my favorite movie because it is all about family. Someday I hope to bring all my kids back together so that we can be a big happy family.

What is your favorite genre of music? Which artist?

My favorite type of music is Gospel and my favorite artist is Shirley Ceaser. She is a pastor now. I like Gospel music because it is uplifting and it gives me hope.

What is your favorite kind of food?

My favorite foods are collard greens, mac n’ cheese and chillins because they are good!

Given a choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest and why?

If I could have anyone as a dinner guest, I would choose Shirely Ceaser because she has such a good outlook on life. I believe in what she is doing as a pastor and it inspires me to always try to do better in life. I would like to be a pastor, that’s one of my talents.

What is your most treasured memory?

My most treasured memories are the births of my kids. There were a lot of special moments of them growing up. It’s special because I was able to raise them with the help from god and they were able to make something of themselves. I am happy that I was able to provide them with the love and support that they needed.
