Where did you grow up and what did you like about your home town?

I grew up in Tallahassee; graduated from Godby high School and truly loved the fact that it had a very diverse school evnironment. In my schools everyone got along and there were no racial distinctions among us the students. I loved the sense of community and everyone was treated equal and with respect. I loved that we had a good sense of community, which was a good thing because we didn’t have to wrory about anything else but to be students and take care of our schoolwork. I personally believe that God has no distinction of the racial differences and for that reason I loved growing up, going to school, and not being worried about racial distinction. I used to have a good time enjoying my high school days. I like Tallahassee is a great town in general. I love working as a hair stylist; I have been working in this profession for over 20 years and I have become really good at it. I always enjoyed cooking for my family, they all loved it when I fixed up some gumbo for everyone and I loved having the opportunity to have all the family under my roof.

Do you have any brothers, sisters or children? If so, tell us about them.

I have three children and they are all grow up now; two boys and one girl. My children always stayed out of trouble, my daughter did serve four years in the US Army and was discharged with honors. My oldest son works as a security guard, and my youngest one works from home doing computer work.

What is your favorite movie and why?

My favorite movie is called “Trading places”, this is an old movie from 1983, this movie is of my liking because it just tells you not to judge the book by its cover. My favorite part is at the end of the movie when a poor man switched places with a rich man. I believe it was a bet made for $1.00 that other two rich men did among themselves. The two men were put into a whole different environment and at the end made them a better person.

Do you have a favorite artist or genre of music?

My favorite music is the 80’s without question. Madonna is my favorite artist and my favorite are the songs from the album “Like a Virgin” because all of the songs bring me back into all my good memories of the past.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is George Chicken because it has a good flavor and perfect seasoning.

Given a choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest and why?

My biological mom, because she passed away when I was a baby and I was placed in the foster care system. I would love to have the opportunity to spend this time with her.

What would constitute a perfect day for you?

Winning the lottery, so that I can take care of my family and children.
